Junior Sous Chef – Netherlands (Vught, Noord-Brabant)

Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join the team at a beautiful estate located in the green surroundings of Vught, near ʼs-Hertogenbosch.
The restaurant offers refined cuisine focusing on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, serving both à la carte and banqueting guests in an elegant yet warm atmosphere.
Main duties include:

• Contributing to the development of a seasonal and recognizable menu
• Leading, coaching, and motivating a young kitchen team of 6 members
• Ensuring correct presentation and timing of dishes (approx. 200 lunch and 100 dinner covers)
• Managing inventory, including receiving goods, calculating usage, and placing orders
• Ensuring safety and hygiene compliance (Arbo & HACCP standards)
• Overseeing banqueting operations with 300+ guests per day

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience as Junior Sous Chef or similar role
• Experience in hotels and banqueting operations
• English level: minimum B2
• Age: below 40 years old
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
